Testosterone undecanoate treatment for muscle weakness in a male with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism delayed puberty: A case report

Puberty is a series of physical development and sexual maturation that aims to achieved reproductive capacity. The hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis has an important role in the normal process puberty. Disruption HPG causes hormonal disturbances, one which hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, associated with delayed Hormonal disorders can also cause various problems besides system, such as muscle weakness, lack energy, increased risk bone fractures. We report case male patient who complained predominant did not show signs symptoms puberty, had idiopathic hypogonadism unresponsive human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) therapy. decided administered Testosterone Undecanoate (TU) therapy overcome problem puberty complaints weakness experienced by patient. TU shown beneficial effects these patients increasing testosterone levels, penis length, eliminating weakness.
